When looking for woodworking reviews on the internet, people usually look for some solid plans for building their own piece of furniture or ornament from wood, for their house; others are looking for getting good woodworking reviews on technical information related to carpentry, some related projects, a thorough review on machinery used for working with wood, and also more information on woodworking techniques.
However, the vast majority searching for good woodworking reviews is simply interested in getting some good plans and blueprints related to working with wood, so they can get started on the carpentry project of their choice. In most of my own woodworking reviews, I end up recommending going with some sort of plan - package, rather than starting to look for- and accumulate single wood - project plans. There are some really complete, high quality woodworking packages out there - usually they consist of several thousands of woodworking plans, as well as additional information on woodworking. In particular when you are rather new to this exciting hobby, some of these woodworking packages can be extremely helpful.
The last review I did, was on several different woodworking packages, but I ended up giving a more thorough review on three woodworking plan-packages; there are some really poorly put-together woodworking plan packages, but I definitely recommend against one thing... buying woodworking plans online one-piece at a time. Usually, the smaller companies selling these plans for anything around $2.- to $20.- per plan/drawing, do not have any decent customer service support, nor do they offer any money-back guarantee, nor do they offer any woodworking plan package that would go beyond the mere single plan.
Usually, I therefore recommend getting one of the professional woodworking packages available these days; with professional, I do not even mean that you need or should be a professional woodworker in order to use them; instead, I mean that some of these packages are put together in a very proficient manner, containing several thousands of plans and blueprints for all kinds of woodworking projects out there, and being backed up by some decent money-back guarantee and also reliable customer service.
If you really think about it, the good plan packages out there contain several thousands, few that I know even over 10,000 woodworking plans and blueprints; there is no way anyone will ever be able to collect this massive amount of plans on the internet for anything close to what these plans and packages usually go for; some professionally packaged woodworking plans go for around $40.- to $50.- bucks these days, and contain pretty much everything a woodworker could dream of. Be it of course detailed plans and blueprints for tons and tons of projects, or be it that you want to learn more in general about woodworking - some of these packages have hundreds of educational videos -, some of the projects I did woodworking reviews on even offer additional software for free that allows you to actually change or even create from scratch your very own piece of woodworking plan / blueprint. Whenever I write one of my woodworking reviews, I try to make sure that I also take these economical aspects into consideration.
